Increased Confidence in Property Market:
Christies & Co were the agents in the recent sale of a prestigious care home in weston Super Mare. Simon Harvey suggested that this represents a real shift in market confidence following the more recent economic doldrums.
After 30 years under the same ownership, Nashley House in Weston-super-Mare changed hands. Having owned the business since 1984, Clive Wilson and David Jones have sold the business to nurses Ingrid O’Brien and Cliodhna O’Sullivan, who have over 33 years of nursing experience between them having worked in the NHS in London.
Nashley House itself is a charming period property with purpose built extensions and is registered with CQC to provide care for up to 51 residents and is renowned in the area for its excellent quality of care and committed staffing team.
Ingrid O’Brien commented ‘We are absolutely thrilled to be the new owners of Nashley House and look forward to maintaining the excellent level of care that Clive and David have provided for so many years.’
Rob Kinsman, Regional Director of Christie + Co, commented ‘We are delighted to be able to announce the successful sale of Nashley House to Ingrid and Sid. This transaction illustrates how the market has improved over the past year or so – as new entrants in the sector, Ingrid and Sid were able to successfully complete on the deal with the support of Barclays Bank and we wish them all the very best in their new venture.’
