Minimum Wage Compliance and other advice from QSBD

James Sage from QSBD talked on the 25th Feb at the meeting about the pitfalls surrounding compliance with minimum pay legislation after a review identified 1/3 of care providers as non compliant.  Issues were around interpretation of travel time, allowances, holiday pay, gaps between assignments, sleepover shifts v live in care. James also covered zero hours contracts and the new requirement for directors to be ‘fit and proper’ persons.
